FIRE POINT

If a space is distinct in its exclusivity, aesthetics, and sense of ceremony,
it is all the more able to spark discussion, reflection, and even ignite passion and creativity.

The size of this space is just over 70 square meters,
but due to it servicing just a single inhabitant, the flow, setup,
and utility of the space are fully realized in both public and private spaces by way of thorough customization in the planning period.
Here, emotions are strong and create an immersive aesthetic through the resonance of story and scene.

The sombre greyish blue sets the tone of the public area,
joining efforts to create a minority creative process;
This thick base note produces a tension that comes from a rich imagination.
The heavy curtains and low candlelight cast layers of shadows,
and furniture and ornaments of various shapes reflect the twinkling light from the antique lamps,
vigorously adding mystery. Looking around at the ceiling, floor, walls,
finishings and shelves, we see classic silhouettes and three-dimensional reliefs make guest appearances.
Mosaics and graphic wallpaper are used to bring the theme into relief in the living room,
bathroom, and bedroom. As one strolls through the different rooms,
the playful blue-and-white porcelain print with western themes,
the white checkered pattern against a black background,
or the multi-colored graphics all speak more than words,
creating a seemingly casual, but actually scrutinized composition of multiple elements.

The rough wooden textures in the space are left in intentionally,
along with matte layers and aging effects, like antique walnuts going through the aging process to shed its substrate,
caressed and warmed repeatedly by hand to produce a sleek patina and unique spatial maturity.
